As a school, we are very proud of all the children in class 3 and 4 who worked hard to create a dance for the Royal Opera House competition. We all thoroughly enjoyed watching their final performance and were impressed with what they had achieved.
The Royal Opera House sent them the following messages – ‘Well done on creating a wonderful National Nutcracker Dance! We particularly enjoyed the great choice of music! Your dance was really well rehearsed and thoughtfully staged. It was lovely to know that you have had such a good time on the project. Well done.’
‘Your robotic movements are very well performed and effective for your theme well done!
You have used motif development and canon very effectively. There are some accomplished dance skills on show in your dance. You have a really nice unison section where you use the music very well and show good timing. You should be proud of all your dancers and your achievement.’
The children will be visiting the Reel cinema to see ‘The Nutcracker’ as a special treat, provided by the Royal Opera House, for all the hard work they put in.
