Kandinsky Inspired Art

Today, the children in Class 1 learnt about the artist Kandinsky and his love of colours and shapes. They started by mixing different colours and guessing what new colour they would make.
Next, they made a circle with sugar coated sweets, on a white plate and Mrs Glover poured on some warm water. They watched to see what would happen next. The colours all made beautiful patterns but did not mix together.
Finally,they looked at one of Kandinsky’s famous paintings that uses lots of colours and lots of circles. They all had a go at making one just like it.
