Class 2 Baking Biscuits

The Reception and Year 1 children in Class 2 have been making biscuits today. They have also planned how they are going to decorate them and will be completing this job tomorrow. Let’s hope they taste as good as they smell.

Class 4 Cooking – Galettes des Rois

As part of their French culture studies, Class 4 have been learning about customs and festivals in France. Today they made ‘Galettes des Rois’ These are eaten on 6th January as part of the Epiphany celebrations. They have a trinket baked inside and whoever gets it in their piece is king or queen for the day. The class used an almond as a trinket and at lunchtime, T was made King.

The Little Fir Tree Play Announcement

Parents and friends of Dudley House School are very welcome to come and hear the story of ‘The Little Fir Tree’ on Wednesday 18th December at 6pm.

Golden Book and Certificate Achievers

Well done to all the children who were in the Golden Book today. Congratulations as well to all the children who received bronze and silver certificates today.

Christmas Fun and Games Evening 2019

Thank you to all the parents and staff who helped run activities and games at the Christmas Fun and Games evening last night. It was lovely to see current and past pupils having so much fun together.
Thank you to everyone who came and supported and donated items. £147.69 was raised.

Class 4 Coloured Spinners Homework

Class 4 were asked to make coloured spinners for science homework. Aren’t they great homemade toys!

Golden Book Achievers

Well done to all the children who were in the Golden Book.
Congratulations also to those children who received a bronze certificate this morning for collecting 20 stickers.

Class 1 & 2 Assembly

The children in Class 1 and 2 had their class assembly today and shared some of their learning. They all did very well. We hope enjoy these photographs, that give a little taste of thier performance.

 

Baking Challah Bread

As part of their learning about the Jewish faith, Class 4 made challah bread today. It took much of the day as they had to wait patiently for the dough to rise several times, however they thought it was worth it as the whole school smelt delicious!
