After School Care

This week in After School Care we have done some Cooking we followed Scarlet’s chosen recipe – Raspberry Mousse! The children worked brilliantly as a team when measuring, mixing, simmering and whisking the ingredients! They were also really sensible when using the hob on the cooker and a big help when it came to the washing up!

Well done MasterChefs, your deserts look delicious!

Class 3 DT

Class 3 have started learning about food safety and cross-contamination in DT this term. Today the children have made African Surprise sticks that were covered in yogurt and delicious honey. All the children gave the fruit sticks a thumbs up.

They worked hard as a team and you can see they enjoyed the results. For rest of the term they will be creating a variety of different recipes such as Jollof rice and Nigerian Pound Cake to name a few. They are excited to try a sample of the cuisine of Africa.

Pumpkin Soup – Class 1

Class 1 were very excited to read our new focus text – ‘Pumpkin Soup’. Over the next couple of weeks we are going to be learning all about instructions and will make our own pumpkin soup!
We found it funny Mrs Eason didn’t know how to make a sandwich. She spread the butter on the plate! We gave clear and precise instructions so the sandwich was made correctly.
