Lighthouse Problem Solving

This week, class 1 had a fun afternoon exploring science through the text ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch’. They had to make a pulley system to try to get the picnic basket from Mrs Grinling’s cottage to the Lighthouse…without it falling in the sea! A great afternoon had by all.

Class 4 Assembly

Well done to class 4, who shared their learning on The Victorians in their final class assembly this morning.

Tennis Success

Congratulations to our year 6 tennis team. They came 2nd in their league and joint 6th overall, out of 15 teams. They were a credit to the school.

Tennis Festival

Class 3 had great fun at the indoor tennis competition. They all played well, improving their skills throughout the evening, and gained a respectable joint third position. A big thank you to the parents who helped transport and all those that came to support the event.

Golden Book Achievers

Congratulations to all the children in today’s golden book. A particular mention to all the year 6s, who have approached their SATs tests this week, with a confident, mature attitude.

401 Challenge

Our challenge to run 401 miles is well underway. This week, the children have run 47 miles and 3 laps. Well done to all who have taken part.

KS2 Visit to PGL

Key Stage 2 had a fantastic afternoon, trying out some activities at PGL.

Golden Book Achievers

Congratulations to the children in this week’s Golden Book. Our child from class 4 made huge progress in her 4 minute maths facts test this week, our class 3 child has shown excellent listening and behaviour, our reception child chose to write a story independently and our nursery child showed super effort in phonics.

Well done also to the children who received Mathletics certificates this morning.

 

Cross Country Success

Well done to our year 3 and 4 cross country team, who all persevered and completed the course. Our highest placed finisher came in 6th, out of over one hundred boys!
