Summer Fayre

Thank you to everyone who supported the Summer Fayre last night despite the awful rain! It was lovely to see the children having fun participating in a variety of games and activities such as: face painting, decorating mugs, a golf competition, skittles, hook a duck, find a fossil, mask decorating, table-tennis, boules challenge, etc. and parents relaxing and catching up with one another. Thank you for all the donations and help from parents and staff in organising a wonderful evening.

This week the children’s learning has had a garden focus and they have done some amazing work.
They also had a non-uniform day to raise money for the GROW, hospital gardens project. ÂŁ60 was collected for this worthy cause.
GROW is a charity that has been set up to improve Lincolnshire Hospital gardens. The first project is creating a garden outside Ward 6 at Grantham Hospital.
The children have been set a challenge to create other designs for future hospital garden projects.

Riverbank Exploration
15 May 2019
Oak Class had a wonderful time this afternoon walking along the riverbank. They measured the speed of flow at various locations, created field sketches and looked at wildlife. We saw a muntjac deer, a rat and loads of ducks with their babies. They also took note of how visitors use the river walk and were impressed by the number of people who were out and about. They particularly enjoyed watching the model boats powering along in Wyndham Park.
