Size and Measure Exploration

This week, Class One have been learning about size and measure. We built a small, short dinosaur cave and a big, tall dinosaur cave. We constructed the world’s largest marble run, using long pipes and bricks to make our structure very tall, rolling different sized marbles down the slopes.

 

Tri-Golf Festival

Class 3 enjoyed developing their golf skills this morning at the Tri-golf Festival at Belton Park Golf Club.
The children visibly improved their strokes as the morning went by.
A lovely start to the day in beautiful surroundings.

 

Historical Sources Aid Enquiry

Today Class 4 used primary historical sources, brought to school by a pupil, to follow the World War 2 experience of William Ashworth and discover what his life was like as a prisoner of war.

Art Perspective

Class 4 have been learning how to draw using perspective.

 

Cross Country

Well done to the year 6 boys for running well in the cross country race at the Meres tonight.

 

Sewing Success

Today in ‘Creativity Club’ we used our threading and sewing skills. Some of us chose to make an animal egg cosy and some beautiful butterflies.

 

Super Stars

The children in Class 2 have had a super start to the term and are loving learning all about space. Look at these stars they have made. We read ‘How to draw a star’ by Eric Carle and created our own in the same style.

 

Picnic on the Moon

Zoom! Off to the moon! After reading ‘Whatever Next’ by Jill Murphy, the nursery children enjoyed a picnic – with biscuits – on the moon! They travelled back to school in their rocket for more adventures with their learning.
