Craft Club

The children in craft club this afternoon have used natural materials that they found on the school field to create these superb creations.

A French Celebration

Today the whole school focused on France. The teachers and Class 3 organised a French brunch for the children to enjoy. The hall became a café and Class 3 pupils were allocated jobs: either waiters, waitresses or chefs. Some of the food had been prebaked by Class 3 during DT lessons and this was served along with others choices according to individuals’ orders. Also during the day, children researched famous people born in France, including Gustave Eiffel and the Montgolfier brothers.

 

Class 2 French Celebration

What a fabulous day class 2 has had. It began with making our very own French flag which decorated the table for our delicious French breakfast. After lunch we learnt all about the Eiffel Tower and began our challenge ; ‘Who can build the tallest tower?’ Class 2 are definitely engineers of the future. Well done class 2, you are amazing.

Class 1 French Breakfast

Thank-you ooh so much to the children in Class 3 who invited us to their french café this morning. We tasted some delicious french food and enjoyed saying some simple french words.

Class 1 Make Fruit Kebabs

In Class 1, we have been thinking about how to stay safe and well on a hot summers day. Today we made some fruit kebabs using summer fruit that the children enjoy eating. The children constructed their own kebabs and decided to eat them on the school field under a shady tree.

Class 1 Summer Safety

The children in Class 1 are learning very important information this week about how to stay safe in the sun. We have watched a helpful PowerPoint from Sammy Seagull all about it. The children now have some follow up homework to do based on this learning.

Friday Club

Children at Friday Club had a wonderful time today making astronauts in space pictures. They looked amazing.

Sports Day Awards

Following sports day, the individual points gained for the different races were added up and gold, silver and bronze medals awarded for each class. Children were justifiably proud of their shiny medals and couldn’t wait to take them home to show parents.

Class 3 Summer Day

The children in Class 3 have had great fun this afternoon. The have designed t shirts for a competition, made bubble blowers and designed boats to carry marbles. The children all wore their own clothes to welcome the sunshine.
