Class 3 Visit Wyndham Park

This week, as part of their English topic, Class 3 took a stroll to Wyndham Park. They will be using their experiences to write a recount in the style of Anthony Browne’s book Voices in the Park.

 

Art Club

In art club today, the children thought about harvest time and made model scarecrows.

Class 4 Sculpture

As part of their sculpture unit this term, Class 4 made foil men in the style of Alberto Giacometti.

Class 4 Fossils

In science, Class 4 has been thinking how scientists find out about extinct animals. They made their own replica fossils.

Celebrating Achievements

All the children received certificates for their amazing achievements in our Celebration Assembly this morning. Three trophies were also presented, the ‘Arnott Award for Excellence and Endeavor’, the ‘White Progress Award’ and the ‘Curriculum Achievement’ trophy. Well done everyone for your amazing achievements this year.

 

Celebration Assembly

We were delighted to welcome parents into school this morning for our Celebration Assembly. Children performed a number of items, received certificates and said goodbye to much loved pupils and staff who were moving on from our school family.

Fun at the Summer Fair

This morning staff ran a mini summer fair for the children, so that they didn’t miss out. As well as a range of fun activities, children enjoyed cakes and an ice-cream in the sun. It was a lovely morning and a great way to end the week. Thank you to all the staff for making this possible.

Craft Club

Thursday Craft Club have built on the last few sessions where they have done activities using natural materials. Today they were provided with all sorts of flowers and leaves alongside some lovely square paper plates. They created patterns, collages and even some scenes using the natural resources provided. The children were encourage to plan out their designs on paper first before gluing. They look really great. Well done everyone.

Class 2 Castles

Class 2’s topic this term is Castles and as a ‘Brain Builder’ the children had to research a castle and present their findings to the class along with a picture or model. The results show just how hard the children have worked. We have all learnt new castle facts this afternoon. Well done Class 2.
