Class 3 Digestive System

This afternoon, Class 3 used simple equipment to replicate what happens in our digestive system from eating crackers and bananas to getting rid of the waste products. A messy but informative science lesson that really bought learning to life.

Nursery and Reception Fly to the Moon

Today Nursery and Reception children found the book ‘What ever next!’ and enjoyed making their own rocket to fly to the moon.

Lego Club Pets

Another great session with today’s imaginative Lego club bunch! Their challenge was to make a pet out of Lego this week.

Class 3 Brush Their Teeth!

Class 3 enjoyed sharing their Brain Builder homework with their classmates, connected to their science work on teeth and eating. The posters, facts, PowerPoint and video they produced about how to look after your teeth were very interesting. They had clearly researched and put a lot of time and effort into their work. Well done all of you!

Badminton Festival

Last night the children really enjoyed developing their badminton skills at the Racket Pack Badminton Festival at KGGS. Well done everyone. You were brilliant sporting ambassadors for the school and we were really impressed at how much your skills improved by the end of the evening.

Lego Club

This week’s Lego Club gave the children a tricky challenge: to build a Lego boat that would float on water! Some fantastic designs were created by the students, including ones with working lifeboats. Great job everyone.

Class 2 Celebrate Chinese New Year

Class 2 have been learning about Chinese New Year and making some Chinese decorations.

Class 3 PE

Today in PE, class 3 chose a machine of their choice and performed a dance based on the workings of it. This linked to our explanation topic in English, as this morning they were designing their own flying contraptions ready to write an explanation text of their own. Their performances were imaginative and interesting – well done everyone!

Class 3 Viking Longboats

Class 3 have started to create their Viking Longboat cushions today. They cut out the template for their boats in felt independently.

Friday Club

Children at Friday club have been busy creating shapes, sculptures and pictures with fruit. They have developed their peeling, cutting and food preparation skills. Today after working with various fruits they enjoyed tucking into a tasty fruit salad that they has made. Yum!
