A Visit to Skegness

This morning we caught the 8:27 train to Skegness and were privileged to be able to see the rear cab, where we saw the drivers controls and we were allowed to sound the horn!! When we arrived in Skegness we walked a short distance to Skegness Aquarium where we saw lots of amazing creatures and learnt some fascinating facts. Did you know that a Sea Star (Starfish) doesn’t have a mouth! We read all kinds of information to solve the treasure hunt clues and coloured in some fish that once scanned in started swimming on the screen. We saw the diver feeding the fish and even saw some dinosaurs. We then walked to the beach where we combed the beach for all sorts of treasures before completing a field sketch. After a delicious, but messy ice-cream, we just had time to collect some data before catching the train back to Grantham. We had a wonderful day and learnt and experienced so much.
