Class 3 Explore Music

This afternoon we listened, moved and responded to different genres of music, expressing how they made us feel, whether we liked the style of music and we also identified instruments used to create the music. We then explored and experimented with sounds we could make with percussion instruments from different countries and different ways they could be played. We carefully chose instruments and worked together to create our own soundscapes.

Assembly with Lightspace

Mrs Fytche from Lightspace visited Dudley House School today, she told the children all about Psalm 23 (The Lord’s my Shepherd) which is one of the Queen’s favourites. One of the children said that the psalm was like our lives and he believed God supported him in good times and bad times just like the good shepherd did. Mrs Fytche told us that the Queen believes that God is with her even when she has difficulties and struggles. The assembly was a lovely time of quiet reflection in the midst of what was a very busy party day. Thank you Mrs Fytche for visiting our school.
