Class 1 has been learning about how God helped Elijah. As the birds brought Elijah food, we made some bird feeders to say thank you.

Class 4 have been learning netball techniques. They invented a team game that helped the 6 of them practise throwing, catching, moving passing and shooting.

Class 3 had a lovely afternoon developing their tag rugby skills in a carousel of activities at Kesteven Rugby Club. At the end of the afternoon, they used the tagging, passing and dodging skills they had developed to play a mini match and were delighted when they scored some tries!!

Class 1 enjoyed making scarecrows for their Autumn/harvest display.

Class 1 had great fun jumping on the crunchy Autumn leaves this morning.

In science Class 4 are learning about the properties of different materials. Today they made salt solutions until the water was saturated. As a class we evaporated the solution to separate the salt from the water proving this was a reversible change. They added yeast to water and bicarbonate of soda to vinegar and watched a gas being formed proving that these changes are irreversible. Their third challenge was to make an emulsion with water and oil. They used fairy liquid, egg yolk and gum Arabic and observed the how the oil and water behaved when each substance was added.

Class 1 have enjoyed sewing and making their own colour monsters.

Class 4 have been studying the paintings of the Ancient Egyptians. This afternoon, they painted their own designs on papyrus.
