School Council Elections

This morning, prospective school councillors addressed the whole outlining why people should vote for them. After the election addresses, pupils cast their vote at the polling station.

Votes have been counted and results of the School Council elections will be announced on Monday.

Watercolour Mushrooms

This week, the children have painted mushrooms for our autumn display. What talented and artistic children we have in our school.

Jeans for Genes Day

The School Council decided that this year they would like to raise funds for Jeans for Genes – a charity that supports children living with genetic disorders. Pupils came to school dressed in denim and their donations raised £51.70 towards this worthwhile cause that helps provide vital care and support for affected children and their families.

Thank you everyone for your generosity.

New Glockenspiels

Yesterday, Class 4 enjoyed playing on the new glockenspiels in their music lesson.

We are looking forward to developing our skills to read musical notation and played tuned percussion so that we can make beautiful music together.

RE Class 3

This afternoon, class 3 identified the provisions they would need before embarking on a Son-Seeker Safari. Over the next few weeks, they will be finding out how God protects us and provides for our needs.

KS2 RE

This morning in RE, Class 4 researched, shared and complied a collaborative list that defined all the different tasks archaeologists engage in to learn about the past from the evidence they collect. They then enjoyed embarking on their own archaeological dig, using different tools to excavate a site and find evidence to identify ‘mystery classmates’.

Next week they will be using their understanding of the work of archaeologists to dig into evidence in the Bible.

PE

In the first PE session of the year children were taught the importance of a game plan and how to outwit an attacker.

Playground markings

The children have enjoyed being back at school today and loved the new playground markings.
