Class 4 Remembrance Assembly

On Thursday 11th November, Class 4 are looking forward to sharing their Remembrance Assembly with family and friends at 8:50 am in the school hall. From listening to the rehearsals it will be well worth coming to see.

Science Club

In science club this evening, the children conducted an experiment to see what materials could keep an egg safe when dropped from a height.

Class 2 Campfire Tales

This afternoon, children in Class 2 really enjoyed sharing books together in their new book wigwam beside the camp fire.

Class 3 Cave Art

Today, after looking at examples of cave paintings and discussing the colours used, Class 3 enjoyed creating their own cave art with pastels.

Class 2 Nature Sculptures

Yesterday after being inspired by the natural sculptures of Andy Goldsworthy, Class 2 created their own amazing natural sculptures with things they had collected.

Class 3 Learn About Magnets

In Science today, after investigating whether the different poles of a bar magnet attracted or repelled each other, Class 3 made their own compass. They used a picture of a compass face, a bar magnet and a plastic lid to make their compass, that they then floated in a bowl of water. It didn’t matter whether the bowl of water was turned around, the compass we made always pointed North.

Class 4 Dinosaur Sculptures

This week Class 4 have been sculpting dinosaur creatures using a wire frame and Modroc. They’ll be painting their creatures next week!

Harvest Festival

This morning the children enjoyed singing harvest songs, reciting harvest poems and sharing different Bible verses that they had learnt. The older children also shared a little play, highlighting how important it is for us all to look after the world that God created for us. It was great to share our harvest celebration with family and friends. Some of the children will be giving our Harvest gifts to people in our community later this morning.

Competition Success
