Class 3 & 4 Explore York

Class 3 and 4 enjoyed what they described as a fabulous trip to York today to enhance their learning in history. First they learnt to navigate around a train station before boarding the 08:18 to York. When they arrived in York, they explored the Shambles before then going to The Dig where they learnt more about medicine, the work of archaeologists, before digging to unearth artefacts in Victorian, Medieval, Viking and Roman periods. They finished the day experiencing the sights, sounds and smells of Viking York at the Jorvik Centre which really brought their learning to life. A great day that was enjoyed by all.
