Donation for Ukraine

This morning, members of the school council presented Pastor Kryriacou with a cheque for ÂŁ95.30, that the whole school had raised to help those affected by the war in Ukraine. A couple of pastors from the North England Conference of Seventh-day Adventists have traveled to the area this week and our donation will be used to buy essentials supplies for the people in Ukraine. A big thank you to the school council for organising this, as you care what happens to others.

Reading Zone

We have submitted the picture books that the children had written and illustrated for the Reading Zone picture book competition. This morning we all enjoyed listening to the stories and looking at the amazing illustrations that the children had created. Well done everybody. Another amazing achievement!

Class 2 Melt Chocolate

Class 2 has been learning about changes in materials. Exploring how chocolate melts when it is warm and sets again when it cools.

Snow Fun!

Class 2 had a fantastic time this morning exploring the snow!

Easter Service

It was lovely to see families and governors at our Easter Service this morning. Once again the children did an amazing job presenting, through songs, poems, sketches, readings and prayers, the real meaning of Easter. We may be small in number, but we do amazing things and are very proud of our children.

Baking for Ukraine

Yesterday the children enjoyed baking some delicious cupcakes as part of a fund raising event for people in Ukraine. Thank you for everyone who supported this initiative by buying cakes this morning.

Class 4 Mother’s Day Tea

The children in Class 4 have worked hard, preparing for a Mother’s Day tea today at school. They created posies for the Mothers who attended. They also were responsible for all the preparation, involving devising the menu, preparing the food, setting the tables and serving the food. They also created decorations for the tables using Spring flowers too. They have thoroughly enjoyed the event and were appreciative of the parents who were able to attend.

Class 2 Make Fruit Salad

Class 2 loved making fruit salad today with all the lovely fruit they had bought on Monday, when they went shopping.

Class 3 Treasure Hunt

Class 3 thoroughly enjoyed a Bible treasure hunt today. Whilst, on their quest they read the story of the centurion’s servant being healed because of his great faith. Finishing the hunt, they found ‘treasure’ that they worked hard in teams to solve.

Class 3 Create Viking Longboats

Class 3 have been using a variety of skills to create a cushion depicting a Viking Longboat. They sewed runes on the shields, tie-dyed the fabric, cut out the boat and sails from felt and glued everything down independently. Fantastic job Class 3!
