All Stars Cricket Festival

This morning Class 3 had a wonderful time at Grantham Cricket club participating in a variety activities to develop their cricket skills. Their bowling, batting and fielding skills certainly improved during the session. Well done everyone.

Nature Club

Today in Nature club the children have been creating their own ‘Dande-Lions’ and flower vases. Lovely Nature Art children!

Athletics Club

It was hot outside for running and jumping today but athletics club managed well as they practised hurdles.

Class 4 Assembly

Join us at 8:50 tomorrow morning for Class 4’s assembly about explorers and journeys, along with Paul’s journey to Rome.

Exploring the River

This afternoon the children have been carrying out field work near our local river. First they tested the flow of the river in different places, before then carrying out field sketches from the river bank. Finally they observed, drew and tried to identify the different creatures they found in their river sample, before they were carefully returned to the river.

Class 4 Experiment Results

Here are the results from Class 4’s carnation investigation. They have learnt that the movement of water in plants is driven by a process called transpiration. This is where water evaporating from the leaves of a plant causes the plant to draw up more water through the stem via capillary action.

Bible Society Competition

The children in Class 4 have entered a competition organised by the Bible Society to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee. The children researched different verses in the bible, that talked about service. We then discussed our different ideas, voting on our final decision. We then illustrated the verse using a picture.

Class 4 Science
