Easter Children

On Wednesday morning, all the children retold the Easter story through a musical entitled ‘Easter Children’ with every child in the school involved. The pupils performed and sang beautifully, with parents delighted and proud of their wonderful production.

 

 

Easter Fun

This afternoon, the whole school took part in some fun, Easter activities including finding hidden Easter pictures, making donkey ear headdresses and wearing them to travel around an obstacle course, making crosses out of Lego, and many others.

Muntjac Visits School

There was a lot of excitement, on the playground, this morning, when a muntjac was discovered on the playing field!

‘Where did it come from? ‘How will it get home?’, were just some of the questions that buzzed around the playground.

Letters to Authors

Class 3 have been busy writing and editing a letter to an author this week. Today they posted their letters and are now waiting patiently to see if they received a reply.

 

Kids take over the museum

Today, a group of children went to Grantham Museum to put together their final display for the ‘Kids Take Over the Museum’ project. We were the first school to create a finished product. We would love you to visit Grantham Museum to see our work in situ. The exhibition opens on Thursday this week and will run until the end of April.

 

Visit to Museum of Lincolnshire Life

Children in class 2 had a fascinating time at the Museum of Lincolnshire Life today finding out about transport in the past and conducting investigations about how things move. Whilst at the museum, they also enjoyed finding out what shops and houses used to be like and the children were full of questions.

Trophy Winners

This evening representatives from our school choir received the T G Read Shield at the Grantham Music Festival Winners Concert. The choir had sung two contrasting songs competing against secondary schools, as well as primary.

We are very proud of the hard work the children put into their vocal performance.

 

Music Festival Winners

Congratulations to all the children who took part in the Grantham Music Festival, this morning. They sang beautifully and the adjudicator commented on their clear diction and their lovely warm tone.
