Cheerleading

Dudley House went cheerleading at Priory Ruskin Academy to learn and perform extreme stunts. We had a super time, and Beth the instructor complimented us on our amazing performance and mentioned that we could have gone higher if we had had more time. We began with the box stunt and progressed to the pony prep stunt.

Gymnastics – KS2

Today the children in KS2 created a routine to music in groups. They used all their knowledge from previous lessons and created some fantastic rhythmical sequences. The routines included jumps, leaps and rolls. They have worked extremely hard this term in gymnastics to improve their performance and have worked so well collaboratively. Well done

Firefighting

Exciting Learning at Dudley House School!

On Thursday, our Headteacher Mrs. Johnson and KS2 pupils had an unforgettable experience with fire extinguishers, thanks to Chubb Fire and Security. The whole school took went outside to listen and watch. It was particularly important for Year 1 and 2 have been learning about the Great Fire on London and Class 1 have been roleplaying the Fire Brigade.

Our students learned the importance of raising the alarm and ensuring safety in a fire. They also explored the fire triangle—heat, fuel, and oxygen—and how removing one can stop a fire. This hands-on activity made safety education both fun and memorable!

At Dudley House School, we believe in incorporating real-world learning experiences into our curriculum. Activities like these not only enhance our children’s understanding but also create cherished memories they’ll carry with them for a lifetime.

A big thank you to Chubb Fire and Security for ensuring our safety and for providing this fantastic educational opportunity!

Class 1 & 2 -The Festival of Lights

The children in Class 1 and Class 2 have been learning about Festivals of Light. They enjoyed acting out the story of Rama and Sita and learning about how Diwali is celebrated. They used clay to make their own diva lamps and coloured rice and sand to create beautiful Rangoli patterns.

This week they enjoyed learning about how Hanukkah is celebrated. A Menorah was lit in the classroom as they played the dreidel game – the children were very good at sharing!
