Class 3 Assembly

Thank you to Class 3 for sharing the story of ‘The Great Wall’ in their class assembly today. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you also for telling us about what you have been learning in class – you have been busy.

Brain Builder

This term Class 4 were asked to produce a Brain Builder homework about Ancient Egypt. They were given suggestions but were able to interpret the brief anyway they wished.

We had a wonderful show and tell this morning to include models, maps, informative graphics, games and even a musical composition.

KS2 Science- PH levels

Class 4 made predictions about the pH value of various substances before using litmus paper to test them. They used tealights and foil bowls to demonstrate irreversible change when heat was applied to egg and sugar.

Micro:bit

The children were very exciting in their coding lesson today. They all managed to program their Micro:bit to become a step counter. Some created a night light and a game of rock paper scissors too.

French

This afternoon some of KS2 have been practising their language skills by playing French games.

Class 3 Assembly – Scientist

Class 3 – You’ve once again made us proud!
This morning we had scientist from across many centuries come to the school hall to explain to us who they were and what they were famous for – From Marie Curie to Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein to Alexander Fleming and many more …
What a brilliant way for us to get to know more about what you have been learning this term – keep up the good work!

Music

Children learnt about chords today in music and in small groups made their own compositions playing major and minor chords.

Class 3 – Brain Builder Task – Volcanos

Class 3 proudly shared their Brain Builder task with the class this afternoon. Each pupil gave a short presentation to talk about creating their volcano. Comments included describing the starting point, materials used as well as problems they encountered in the making process. It was superb to see their confidence, hear the vocabulary they used and answer questions from their friends at the end! Well done Class 3 – I thoroughly enjoyed the outcome of all your hard work! 😊
We culminated our learning on Ferocious Earth by playing the volcano/earthquake themed games the children had designed – a noisy but fun time was had by all!!

Class 4 Assembly

Thank you to Class 4 for telling us how to stay safe online during their class assembly this morning. The poem and sketch you shared really bought it too life.
A very informative assembly. Thank you.
