Act of Kindness

Our School Council decided that they would like to provide the clients that are served a nourishing breakfast on Sunday mornings with a special treat. So, during Friday Club they put their culinary skills to use baking Muesli Cookies. Mrs Johnson sampled one fresh from the oven and was very impressed. The Sunday Breakfast clients were too. The cookies went down a treat and the children’s thoughtfulness was really appreciated.

What little act of kindness might you do today?

Have you filled your bucket?

As part of our PSHE lessons about ‘feelings’ we enjoyed the story of ‘Have you filled a bucket today’. We then talked about what makes us happy and how our own actions can make other people happy.
Look at our happiness bucket.

Kindness Workshop

This morning, as part of the school’s mental health week, Class 3 and 4 took part in a kindness workshop run by 52Lives. They discovered that kindness:
– Helps us feel happier.
– Gives us healthier hearts.
– Slows down aging.
– Helps us live longer.
Afterwards the children created a variety of items to give to others as an act of kindness – cards, a car with inspirational Bible verses on, pop up pictures, miniature Pringles tubes containing ‘cardboard Pringles’ with positive messages on them.
They also discovered that kindness is contagious and that just one act of kindness can reach 125 people!!
How could you be kind to someone today?
