Brain Builder

This term Class 4 were asked to produce a Brain Builder homework about Ancient Egypt. They were given suggestions but were able to interpret the brief anyway they wished.

We had a wonderful show and tell this morning to include models, maps, informative graphics, games and even a musical composition.

Anderson Shelters

Well done to all Key Stage 2 for creating some wonderful Anderson shelters for their homework task. Thank you to all the parents and carers for your support too! We love how each model is so individual and made from a huge range of materials.

Class 4 Assembly

Class 4 enjoyed performing three separate sketches about Victorian life this morning. They sang songs, played the recorders and delivered facts to the audience.

Right up our Street!

As part of their geographical and historic studies of the local area, Class 4 drew field sketches of the houses on Dudley Road. They then studied the census data from 1891 and discovered who lived on this street. There were bookbinders, agricultural workers, a train driver, several tailors, a school governess, a green grocer, a coal merchant, a coach painter, an iron founder as well as a lady who ran a lodging house. They also discovered that several of the houses had housekeepers or domestic servants living within the household.
