Welcome to Class 2
It’s good to be back after the half term break and Class 2 are looking forward to an exciting term. We have returned to school full of enthusiasm and excited to learn. We have created a Fairy Tale Castle and thought about different settings for our stories. We are excited about World Book Day and have completed our Book Jackets ready for judging. We are also looking forward to dressing up as our favourite book character.
Science day is also looming when we will be learning lots about elephants.
This term we will be working with Class 3 on Tuesday afternoons when Miss White will teach us all Art and Mrs Beckett will teach us all Music. Next week we will be visiting the park for ideas to inspire our art.
PE Days: Monday and Wednesday.
We swim on Friday morning along with the rest of the school
Reading Books: Your child’s book will be changed whenever you have read at home. Please write in your child’s diary so that we can see that they have read. Thank you.
Homework: Spellings are given out and tested on Mondays. Maths homework will be given and collected on Tuesdays. Brain builder homework is given out on Fridays, twice a term.
If you have any questions, please do come and see us.

Spring Term 2017
We’ve found the treasure! Class 2 have had great fun, programming the bee bots to move in the correct direction. We have learnt a lot of directional language, making sure we didn’t muddle left from right!
Class 2 have been reading and writing poems. We have been learning about the vocabulary used as well as the structure of a poem. The ‘pirate ship and treasure island’ in our classroom have inspired us. Here are some of the verses we have written.
Can you spot the alliteration?
This tern Class 2 are learning all about Fairy Stories, so have made a typical castle setting to inspire their writing.
